【Attention】
The first fawn of the year was born in Nara Park on 3 May.
It is currently the deer birthing season and you may see the mother deer and her fawn in the Todaiji precincts, but please do not approach and touch them.
If the scent of humans gets on a fawn, a mother deer will abandon her fawn and the fawn will be more likely to be targeted by natural enemies.
So please do not approach the mother deer and her fawn.
Please ensure that bring back to all your rubbish with you, as the deer may accidentally eat it.
The deer living in Nara Park are wild animals, so please do not feed them any other food (such as sweets or human food), as this may cause them to become ill.
